What Got Me Here

I actually didn’t intend to start a planner and notebook brand. I landed here accidentally. But after loving notebooks and planners all my life, I’m not surprised I’m here. In fact, I would call myself a notebook connoisseur, so I’m undoubtedly qualified to be here.

After leaving my corporate consulting career after 15 years, I was planning to take a break for entrepreneurial dreams. But the plan was something entirely different. Yet, early on in my journey, I found myself designing planner pages for myself. Without realizing it, I was searching for a better planner, a tool to keep me organized as I built something of my own.

Quarterly Everyday all started with this selfish want. I needed a planner and pages that didn’t exist yet. I wanted a planner I could carry everywhere, with space to plan things at all levels of my life: monthly, weekly and daily. I wanted it all, but with a simple and clean aesthetic so I didn’t feel overwhelmed.

I’ve always loved creating lists and have always had a need to write things down. Over time, I’ve learned it’s how my brain works. I wanted a planner that had space for all the areas of my life: a space for productivity and professional ambitions but also one that had space for me on a personal level. A space for gratitude, creating routines, habit tracking, time blocking and overall space for personal organization and growth alongside what I needed to get done professionally.

All the planners that I saw in the market were too heavy to carry with me in my bag, had an aesthetic that I didn’t connect with, used paper that wasn’t enjoyable to write on, or had so many pages and sections that they felt overwhelming. I needed functionality, but with simplicity and flexibility.

So, I created a daily planner that included it all. And that’s how Quarterly Everyday was born.

But my story started before the planner.

My life was focused on work, and I realized I was sacrificing too much of my life for an ambition I no longer valued.

Near the end of my corporate consulting career, I felt out of alignment. Success meant running around with my head cut off at all times. My brain was constantly in overdrive and I wasn’t getting enough sleep. I knew I needed to take charge of my life and my health. It became increasingly clear to me that the most important things in life were intangible.

I wanted to be ambitious in a new way and for myself.

My entrepreneurial dreams have been shaped by these lessons over the years. I’ve realized I’m still seeking a life that has ambition but this time with work that brings me purpose. I want to create more space for joy along the way and more time for the people that I love most. It probably comes as no surprise that everything shifted after having kids. I no longer wanted to work 12-hour days, live with constant stress over never-ending work and delivering to the client at any cost. I wanted more calm and peace, so I could be the best version of myself for my family and for myself. I wanted to create more time and flexibility to be present both physically and mentally.

I’ve been fortunate to be able to make this leap because I saved and invested for years. I intentionally built up a cushion for this moment. I always knew I wanted to create something of my own and on my own terms. I believed I could figure it all out. (I will definitely share more on this later.)

And that’s what got me here.

I want to help you accomplish things that light you up, without sacrificing your joy or what matters most to you.

My goal at Quarterly is to help you build a life you can be present for, and to make space for moments of joy along the way.
